DP World announce adjustment in Port Infrastructure Surcharges - Effective 1st May 2020

DP World Australia (DPWA) announced on Friday 27th March 2020 scheduling of further increases to their Infrastructure Surcharge.

DP World claim the changes are in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

• SYDNEY - $135.00 + GST

• MELBOURNE - $150.00 + GST

• BRISBANE - $140.00 + GST

• FREMANTLE - $ 55.00 + GST

• ADELAIDE - $55.00 + GST (remains unchanged)

While we appreciate that DP World, like the rest of Australian commerce, is no doubt also feeling the financial strain of the current economic environment and any relief for exporters is welcome, putting an additional excessive cost burden on importers at this time is not the answer.
