Latest News: Industrial Action at DP World - Causing Shipping Disruptions

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have been in contact with DP World senior management in order to update members on the latest on the protected industrial action continuing around the DP World terminals nationally (Australia).

Unfortunately, there is little change in that DP World today have announced another update suggesting the members of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union (CFMMEU, MUA Division) have, despite continued efforts to reach an understanding, outlined a further series of work bans and stoppages up to and including Monday 11 December.

The ongoing protected industrial action has had significant operational consequences, notably affecting exporters and importers across all DP terminals. DP World has remained dedicated to finding a mutually beneficial solution and has approached bargaining in good faith.
